A must. Huge portions, warm/homey atmosphere, delicious flavors and the best breakfast place in the city. Skillets, pancakes, toast, hot cocoa with whip cream soaring high, you call it. With this charming family business, it can't go wrong. The owner welcomes you with open arms and hustle and bustles that help staff to sit people. Big bang for your bang with the left. What Juan M doesn't like about Niko's Breakfast Club:
Ate here for the first time after living in Romeoville for 15+ years and boy was I disappointed. I ordered the simplest thing on the menu (egg sandwich), and got sick. I’m pretty sure it was the bacon that gave me food poisoning. Anyway, stay away from here if you appreciate not having to use the bathroom every 20 minuets. View all feedback.
What a fantastic breakfast place! I ordered the chorizo omelette, and it was absolutely delicious—just like how my mom makes it! Perfection! The pancakes are incredibly soft and fluffy; they practically melt in your mouth. The service is outstanding as well. I've been there twice, and the staff is always quick to respond to our requests, even when it's busy. Everyone is friendly and has a great sense of humor. I absolutely love this place! I'll definitely be returning and would highly recommend it to others.
I picked up a to-go order for myself and my fiancé. I ordered pancakes and corned beef hash with fruit. Unfortunately, the fruit was missing from the bag, but I wasn't too concerned because the pancakes were delicious and the corned beef hash was well made. However, I was quite disappointed with my fiancé's order. She got eggs Benedict, and the hollandaise sauce was completely broken. When I spoke to Niko, he claimed that the sauce broke because it went into the container too hot, which isn’t true—broken hollandaise is usually a result of preparation errors. I wanted to give him a chance to fix it, but he just offered me a line about how we could come back for a remake if it wasn't delicious. Honestly, no one wants to return to a restaurant after a less-than-satisfactory meal. On top of the broken hollandaise, my fiancé's eggs were overcooked. Overall, I was left unimpressed during my first visit.
We arrived and requested a table for four. Our friends, who were joining us, called to inform us that they would be late. Our server, Dennis, was very nice and courteous, but unfortunately, the place itself left much to be desired. It was dimly lit, the booth was small, and the restrooms were not clean. We mentioned to the hostess that we were willing to leave since our friends were delayed, and she said that was fine. However, just five minutes later, the owner rushed over to our booth in an angry manner, snatched away our menus, and told us to wait outside until our friends arrived. We felt humiliated, especially since we had offered to leave in the first place! I strongly advise against visiting this restaurant. The owner clearly lacks understanding of customer service, and this establishment is not worth your time or money on a Sunday—or any day, for that matter!
Service was great and the food was delicious. Went around lunchtime and was sat immediately. We met Niko and he was incredibly friendly. He made conversation with almost everyone who walked through the door. You can tell he takes pride in hisestablishment by the way he creates relationships with his patrons. Will absolutely be going again!
This restaurant is fantastic! The food is excellent, the prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous. They always serve homemade soup, which is a nice touch. Plus, Nick makes everyone feel warm and valued. Highly recommend!
