We were initially skeptical because we approached with a flyer outside the Vatican. We're glad we came! The man with the brochures was helpful and honest, our waitress was beautiful and happy. She told us everything. Meals were wonderfully cooked, hot and tasty, and good portions. They even gave us a free pizza because we were the second customers of the day, so it is worth opening here time!! It was also AIR CONDITI... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Trattoria Pizzeria Gli Archi:
Pizzeria near the Vatican. My wife had the gnocchi which was good. I had a pizza. The crust was dry, kind of like toast. I didn't care for it. The sparkling water was so flat, it was like still water. The staff were nice. There are better offerings. Check out my profile for more great eateries and cocktail bars. View all feedback.

We stopped here for lunch after a very long double tour through the Vatican. The staff was super friendly, efficient and did not feel like a burden (as many in Rome do! . The food was delicious and very well portioned. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for
Good value for the price. One menu with one slice bruschetta, a simple pizza or pasta, Tiramisu and one soft drink costs 10 euros. It's not the best pizza I had but worth it price. The crust was so hard that I could barely cut it. The portion of the pizza is huge but the dessert and bruschetta is rather too small. There is no service fee.
Really delicious pasta! One of the best I had in Rome. The waiter was very friendly and attentive, and the prices were good. I recommend the shrimps, Pesto Linguine. It was wonderful!
Memo was our wonderful waiter. He was very real, funny and friendly. We ordered a bottle of Lambrusco it is not the house wine, since the house wine is usually Prosecco (dry) and we like sweet wine. I recommend the Pesto Linguine with Shrimp. It was the best Pesto spagetti I had eaten in Italy. Beef with vegetables was also very good. Our last order was the Tiramisu and that was also great. I recommend going there when you are near the Vatican. It is not directly on the main road, but in a neighborhood next to the Vatican wall.
