An excellent lunch experience on Sunday in Trastevere. The restaurant is served as gluten-free, but all pasta and pizza dishes are traditionally also done. We had no reservations, but they were able to fit us without any problems. The restaurant has filled so that reservations are recommended. Very friendly staff. Amazing restaurant for all, especially for celiacs. If you want to taste genuine gluten-free affordable Italian cuisine, this is your place. Pasta and pizza tasted like normal (actually difficult to achieve). All in the menu can be gluten-free or not gluten-free (and it is made in separate kitchens). The service was great, fast and friendly, Luka explained everything to us and led us through the experience. We liked so much that we went there by chance for lunch and came back for dinner. My Italian, romantic friends approved the Italian authenticity of food.
Great GF place and they even have GF beers! Wow we ordered mainly carby things … everything you’d expect but without the tricky protein.
Just amazing. As a celiac I had my best meal here during my stay. All in the menu is gluten-free. I personally had Calzone and Donuts and they were very tasty. Recommend to everyone who is on a gluten-free diet. Our waiter Luka was also very friendly and helpful. 10/10
I read about Mama eats on a blog and I am so glad that I went there for my first meal in rome! miki the waiter was so friendly, accentuated and gave us his full attention. he recommended the gluten-free craft beer that was beautiful. he turned the heaters for us outside and told us his recommendations on the menu. we shared the mini pizza for the starter and I got Calamari, Squid and roasted shrimp for main. Portion sizes were unrealistic and the food was Fab! I don't think I'll ever get Calamari again, that's low fodmap/gluten free. they have a separate kitchen and various cooks that follow for those who follow a gluten-free diet. I am from Ireland and it is so stressful food out, explain my allergies, ring well in advance. where today was only an external body experience! I am still in shock that I was able to eat that all!!! I'm happy now!
