The only issue we had was the waiter made us felt like we had to leave a tip when from what we had read that tipping is not necessary.

Another couple an... read more We ran across this restaurant last year by happenstance. I had a brief chat with the owner, who was standing at the front door before opening. Another couple and us had an 18 day visit to Italy last year, and of the 18 fantastic dinners we had, dinner at Al Viminale was in our top three. We each order something different, sharing tastes of each dish all around, and everything was wonderful. We returned to Al Viminale again this year during a 26 day trip to Genoa, Venice, Florence, and Rome. Again, dinner at Al Viminale was in our top three of 26 dinners. Every aspect the variety, the food, the service, the fair prices, that happy attitude of everyone there. This is a family owned (Father/daughter restaurant, and an experience not to be missed. (P.S. In fact, we went back again two nights later !
