It's laid back and a neighborhood joint, but it's perfect just the way it is. Sitting outside at their quaint table validated the authentic Italian experience it was. We tried most everything on the menu and loved everything, from the mussels to the steak to the pasta to the bruschetta to...you get the idea! If you are in Selva Candida, why would you miss this place?! View all feedback.
What lpansieri doesn't like about Sapori Veri:
We ate at this restaurant about 3 years ago and came back mainly because it is the closest to the hotel Selva Candida where we were staying.. Its very large, rather basic and plain. Their customers are mainly locals coming in for lunch. The kind waiter working there has a terrific sense of humor and had several customers bursting with laughter. This restaurant specializes in fish and sea food, but all kinds of dishes... View all feedback.
We had just checked in at the Hotel Selva Candida in Rome after arriving from Florence. The hotel desk recommended Sapori Veri for dinner which is within walking distance of the hotel. We started off with an order of bruschetta, pasta for the main course and a very nice capuccino to finish the experience. The service was good and the food was an excellent value. The food must be good because we observed many locals dining there. Italians tend to eat dinner late so the restaurant does not open for dinner until 7:30 pm and is closed on Mondays.

My family and I came here after the suggestion of a receptionist of the hotel Selva Candida. It is very near the hotel and since we were exhausted from the all day in the city center, we decided to take a chance. The speciality of this restaurant is fish so me and my wife ordered all the courses with fish. My son went for a pizza. The fish is excellent and I have to say, even the pizza of my son that I helped to finish after the all meal (so cold) still tasted good. Of course it its not a fine dinig restaurant but since we ordered fish I thought that the price for all the meal would have been higher than the actual one. Good value

Charming waitress. The food was well prepared. I had the fettucini with shrimp, zucchini and tomatoes...really great flavour combination. My husband had fettucini with a carbonara sauce , also very good. The vegetables in the mixed salad were fresh and delicious. Very generous portions at a decent price.
