If you want to get away from the craziness of the Spanish Steps, I suggest the five minute walk to Santovino in Piazza Della Torretta. We enjoyed the amatriciana and seared tuna. Struggled with poor or average review for this dinner. The food was average and the wine list was great but the service was sub par. Most all places in Rome charge for bottled water with dinner, that’s no problem but when we received our check we were charged for it although it never showed up. Found this place entirely by chance. Two families with teen kids. December, we ate outdoors, incredible weather. Food was top notch, well presented and tasty as it should be. Amazing wine choice. Service was as good as the food. Price was not outrageous. So far, definitely our pick of the week. Highly recommended!
We went here in 2019 and it was slammed. Nobody was here last time. The food is still great and there is an encyclopedic wine list, but there are many better choices in Rome at this price point. Hard to find.

Locale carino in centro, piacevole la cena all'esterno. Il menù è piuttosto completo e si mangia molto bene. Carta dei vini, come si evince dal nome, impressionante. Servizio con alti e bassi, a seconda del cameriere che si incontra. Tutto il menù è un pochino overpriced.
