We were recommended to this restaurant by the hotel. It was a nightmare this visit. We had requested a nice table which initially looked ok but soon a group of 18 Japanese were seated next to us and so close to us it was very uncomfortable. We were first seated in restaurant but they were already out of carpaccio, our choice for appetizer. Wine by the glass was awfull selection and even worse for taste. Food was very... Ristorante pizzeria aperto per anni, gestito da persone fantastiche piene di ricchezza di vita. .servizio e cibo ottimo, lucidare una bella sorpresa.
Lugar lindo, muy romano, muy buena atención, así como comida, pizza especial
Walking to find a restaurant, we see different people with pizza boxes coming from this place. If so many Italians go there to buy their pizzas, they must be good. Typical Italian restaurant, very nice touch because it is family run, with wood oven. No written menu, and I appreciate that the waitress is able to speak slowly so we can understand. It makes the experience even more pleasant. My husband orders pasta, fettuccine ai porcini, which has too much salt for his taste, and I order a pizza, which I like a lot: cooked ham, fresh tomatoes and fresh aragula over a thin crust. We ask for grilled eggplants and zucchini, which are good too. Great service. Will go back and recommend.
Lovely staff, very accommodating about my cheese allergy and alerted dishes to cater for me. Very enjoyable meal.
We ate at this place after a visit to the basillica San Paolo. Loved it. Enzo the owner was amazing. Made us feel so welcome. The food was amazing. The recommend dish of the day Pasta Amaretica was very ordinary looking but the taste was just superb. I had steak and again looked very underwhelming when brought out, but the steak was unbelievable to taste. Kids had pizza both declared it was the best pizza ever tasted. The star of the night though after all that delicious food was the homemade tiramisu.. stunning is the only way to describe. This is a family run friendly restaurant just directly outside the basillica San paolo metro station. The setting is not the most beautiful but, the food and welcoming atmosphere more than made up for it. Also thick cloth napkins and tablecloths are always a winner for me. Enzo is also a bit of a wine buff and we took his advise on the wine to drink with our meal, he was spot on. Final word of warning beware of the grappa. It sure warms the cheeks. Lucky we were so near the metro and had no driving to do.
