A very well located restaurant, near Fontana di Trevi. We were well received by the staff, all very nice. We went there early, just before 8 p.m., so the place had few customers. We placed our order and didn't wait much to be served. The pizzas were very good and with a good size. For dessert, we asked for some tiramisu, which was a bit disappointing. Italy is a wonderful place for tiramisu, but not here. Worth it fo... View all feedback.
What LoveToTravelTerrie doesn't like about Osteria Allegro Pachino:
We stopped in here as it was close to our hotel by the Trevi Fountain. I needed a salad so I was glad to see Mixed Salad on the menu. It included lettuce, arugula, tomatoes, olives and corn. There was no dressing but I didn’t need any so I didn’t ask. The salad ingredients were cool and fresh. I asked the waiter for recommendations and he said the spaghetti carbonara for €12 or the homemade lasagna €11. I got the spa... View all feedback.
Me and my partner visited this restaurant after wondering around trying to find a good place to eat, we decided on al Pachino’s. nice underground setting and was politely greeted by the staff. Couldn’t fault the waiters, helpful and friendly however maybe could do with a lesson in body freshness. We ordered bruschetta to start, one with olive pate- which my partner could only describe as grim and intense. The other was fungi bruschetta- which was basically slimy cold chunks of mushroom in a cold cheap mushroom soup! Woof! Not a great start I can tell you. We spoke with the waiter before order as my partner wanted to ask about dishes before ordering as was unsure of cuts of meat etc. We ended up with lasagne bread and Danish steak and chips. Lasagne- where do I start Asda could do better! The pasta itself was lovely and thin, obviously home prepared, but it tasted like dog food, and was cold in the middle. The best part of my meal was the bead and balsamic vinegar. Danish Steak- It had more fat on it than meat, very disappointing. Its safe to say we didn’t stay for dessert. This was the most expensive meal we had during our 5 day visit and was of the poorest quality which is a shame given their amazing location. It cost £53 euro with two drinks.
Super convenient location right few steps from the Fontana di Trevi, the dishes are respecting the italian recipes and the quality of the ingredients is good. Friendly staff and cozy place.
Exploring Rome and came across this place after visiting the Trevi Fountain, looked at the menu and very reasonably priced and mixed reviews, however the staff were so friendly, English speaking, very attentive and polite. We had 2 pasta dishes which came out after 20 minutes and were nice and hot. Very filling portion and beautiful authentic pasta. Glad we came.
Near the Trevi Fountain, but still enough to feel as if it were very far from the crowds. Surprisingly good typical Roman dishes. Very nice waiting staff. Pan e Cuperto included. Not much given the quality of food and service we receive.
Traditional Italian restaurant. The staff is super friendly and clear used to deal with tourists. Started with an order of Supplis, the first time I had tried those and they were tedious. A twist on the standard fried mozzarella, Supplis add some rice and sauce rolled together with the cheese and roasted deep. We then ordered the lasagna as the duck, the shimmering hot and was absolutely delicious. Definitely a restaurant I'd go back to.
