You're not italian, not to this attacker. we visited this restaurant after countless good reviews and were incredibly disappointed. from the very beginning we w... read more You're not italian, not to this attacker. we visited this restaurant after countless good reviews and were incredibly disappointed. from the very beginning we were treated as the second class citizen, because we did not speak fluently Italian. as tourist we know. the basic phrases and have used them accordingly what we thought would be enough. we came to celebrate a birthday meal, but were immediately disregarded. we sat in a corner, away from the main restaurant, and the dame that took us to our table roared on us and immediately went back behind her writing table and began to speak in Italian, clear about us in a disgusting way to her colleagues. our orders were delivered seconds after sitting (wine starter) and less than 5 minutes after sitting the starter. the food was nice, but nothing to write home, and there were no extras like olive oil or salt, and just a constant view of ecle from the waiting staff. we had not finished our appetizers before our main thing arrived, and our remaining foods were taken from us without even a question before our main thing was knocked down before us (and I don't want to sound dramatic, but slamming was a thema of the evening.) we tried to make the best of our situation and enjoyed our net, which was again beautiful, but not the one in which we were treated. I had not yet my head, but my friend had, and so his teller was cut off from us and again I got a very disapproving look before I gave up on mine and offered it to be taken. our sides then came to after, and at this point we only tried to illuminate the situation and to eat it as soon as possible before we could get out. desserts were offered shortly after, but we were politely rejected before we asked for the bill. After the shocking service was received, we did not feel like leaving a tip, but when the bill was punched into the card machine, it became very clear that this was the amount without the tip. when we did not tap more than a few €, more commentary were sent out under atem and then the gaggle of the personal who had made our evening, which we wanted to forget, came back together again to murmur (what I can only accept) nonsense behind our back. we let ourselves be discouraged, discouraged and felt from a restaurant that we thought was the best of what could offer rom, completely betrayed, but instead we let ourselves feel as if we did not receive the horribly served food with which they presented us.

The restaurant has an authentic and lively atmosphere, typical of historic Roman trattorias, with professional and attentive service. The highlight was undoubtedly the cacio e pepe, prepared tableside: creamy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The other traditional Roman dishes were also well-executed and made with quality ingredients. I give it four stars because, despite the excellent food, the prices are a bit high compared to other Roman trattorias, and the place can be quite noisy when full. Overall, however, it remains a very good place for those who want to experience authentic Roman cuisine in one of the city's most characteristic neighborhoods.
