Caffe Camerino - Roma

After walking through the Roman Forum, we came out towards Altare della Patria were feeling bit hungry. On an impulse, we took the Tram near Piazza Venezia got down at the next stop. While wandering there, we came across Caffe Camerino almost by chance. The Trip Advisor review was good so walked in for coffee a light snack. The Chicken sandwiches were amazing... really really good. The hot chocolate was fantastic and so was coffee. The staff was friendly and really helpful given language was a challenge. All in all one of those experiences where you walk in with good expectations and come out having had a great experience. Our walk to our next stop -Pantheon- saw a spring in our steps thanks to our pit stop at Caffe C.

We were staying in an apartment very close by and this was absolutely perfect for breakfast, we went three days in a row, 2 euro for a cappuccino and a truly excellent pastry standing at the bar, just right for us!! the staff were very friendly and didn't seem to mind that we did it a bit backward by ordering first and then going to the till to pay! lunch options didn't appeal but it was ideal for mornings for us!

This cafe was an ideal pit stop on our travels into Old Rome. Well located and serving excellent coffee and cakes. Staff were very helpful when asked about recommendations for nearby restaurants.

The location is perfect: while being in the center is a retreated corner. There are tables outside, and the service is maintained. staff is available. excellent value for money.
