Went with my Roman based family I'm from Australia) ten of us on a very cold January night. sat down and left the host whos name was Mario, to just feed us. no questions..and he did. Amazing quality antipasti of mussels, swordfish carpaccio, fresh bread, fish, suppli and prawns, deep fried zucchini and more....everything you could want..it was endless and yes that was just the antipasto..next came two types of pasta of brilliant scampi gnocchi in a rich red sauce and spicy spaghetti with pippis in a white wine oil sauce.. Very tasty! we had enough when out came a platter HUGE) of seafood..calamari, prawns etc. later Mario came out and offered all of us liquers to finish off the meal..8 or 9 bottles were produced and yes tasted...we ended the meal with a crisp and refreshing sorbet...so full and so happy..these guys really know their stuff. Mario , the co-owner, is so charming and attentive. he treated us like family yet we had just met. the place is inexpensive..you need to look for this place as its a little out of the way...ask hotel or use navigation...you wont regret it..Thanks Mario..Thanks a lot..
I should say that I highly rate this restaurant. The staffs are extremely courteous and the food served is nice and the best part is they have something sumptuous even for the vegetarians. The Hotel staff ensured that they asked and explained what the dishes were which is so nice of them. At the end of the restaurant, they asked us to taste their signature baileys which were very good. At the end, they ensured that they called taxis for our pretty large group. Overall it was a great experience for all of us.
