Even though Mexican food was not MY choice for dinner, this was easy to find and near our (Clarion) hotel the food was quite good and they had a pretty good variety of options. I ordered the 3 chiles and liked the from scratch flavors. Service was pretty good and we loved hearing the happy chef back in the kitchen singing loudly he obviously loves his job. What i guerra doesn't like about Carnes Asadas 83:
It is not the same as last time i visited more than a year ago!!!Recently went and parrillada was great however i asked for parrillada for 3 people and portion on plate was for 2 people at the most and flour tortillas were not fully View all feedback.
The concierge at our hotel recommended this place and we gave it a go. It is authentic, friendly and delicious. Steady traffic on this Monday night. We were suffering from head colds and their chicken soup sounded like a good appetizer. Oh Man! Was it fantastic. We had the cup which was a generous bowl of delicious comfort. Hubby had the Carne asada and I had the Camerone with bacon and cheese. It was all excellent. Piling hot, generous portions and so so tasty. Meal with a couple of Pacifico beers was $83 CAD. Lovely service really closed out a long stressful travel day in a wonderful way.
I absolutely loved this restaurant! I tried the margarita and the Carne Asada, and both were fantastic. The meat was exceptionally fresh, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection—truly the best I’ve ever had. It's a charming little spot with friendly staff and reasonable prices. Just wonderful!
We stopped in while passing through town and were very happy with our experience. The service was excellent and the prices were quite reasonable. I ordered the chicken mole, and it was among the best I've ever tasted. The portion size for the single burrito was massive, so much so that I had to take some home. We will definitely return!
Love this place. I have been eating there since 2000…. NO ONE in STARR County comes close to them when it comes to carne asada! NO ONE! Costillas de pecho y fajitas.
The place is a little slow, but the food is worth it! Excellent tacos at a reasonable price. Heads up...cash only.
