Feedback
We were excited to stop by Oppio Caffè because of its fantastic location right next to the Colosseum. The restaurant has plenty of seating both inside and outside, and the views of the surrounding area are beautiful. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. We visited in the afternoon, after 3:00 PM, having already finished lunch elsewhere. We simply wanted to sit down, enjoy some drinks, and order a few snacks or appetizers while taking in the atmosphere. However, we were told that if we wanted to sit at a table, every person in our group would need to order a full lunch plate, not just drinks or lighter items. What made the experience more frustrating was the way this policy was communicated. We found the staff to be unfriendly and dismissive, which left us feeling unwelcome. We understand that restaurants have policies and business requirements, but a more courteous and accommodating approach would have made a big difference. It’s unfortunate because the location is excellent and the venue itself looked inviting. However, due to the customer service we experienced, we chose to dine elsewhere.
Cannot recommend. Food was just ok. Salad was watery. The restrooms were very dirty with no tissue. Service just ok but slow.
The only good thing about the place is its location. Terrible staff and extremely overpriced. Better buy somewhere else and sit in front of the street for a better view
Very disappointing experience. We came in for a drink but were pressured into ordering food as well. Poor-quality food, outrageously high prices, and arrogant staff. The staff openly asked for tips and became noticeably less friendly when one wasn’t left. Definitely not recommended.
