We found the place by chance, while we were driving around the city on our rental motorcycle, looking for where to have dinner. It is a very pleasant place, in a basement that is accessed by a small staircase. The food was tasty and on point, and the prices were very acceptable. The service, normal, as expected (I don't need five-star services or bagpipes, just being served with kindness and in a reasonable time is e... View all feedback.
What Titti Colella doesn't like about La Baita 1980:
Coming to Rome to eat a cacio e pepe without cheese and with linguine... is priceless! We basically ate overcooked linguine... with oil and pepper! Very bad. The only thing the owner said, when I called it terrible , was even? . Then let 's not complain if tourists go elsewhere. Better to fast. I strongly advise against it. Nice environment, not particularly clean but the dinner was really bad. Dishes that are not good and have a questionable color (phosphorescent green fried artichokes). Not recommended. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €20–30 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

This was a lively find after the place the hotel recommended was too crowded. They have limited English skills and I have limited Italian, but it worked perfectly! The food was so amazing and the service so wonderful...we are returning tonight! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Wondered in after a nice night. Expected it to be good and a hidden gem. Rude staff, tried to order and they told us they were too busy to wait for us to tell them our order. Restaurant empty. mean staff, mediocre food. Don’t waste your money. So many other places that are better. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
