What April Smith doesn't like about The Slab:
The meat is not cooked and ready to eat. The owner says he explains this but he didn't and there is nothing on the packing saying you need to cook your meat. We order five pds of brisket which they said they only have tri-tip. We order shredded or chopped and received sliced. Each slice was mostly fat. Nice place and some good food. Customer service is okay..
It is now Ranger Express, with a new reliable menu of very good BBQ, burgers, sides, and the always scrumdilly biscuits and gravy!
For Easter, our family (my grandfather) ordered us brisket , chopped, for sandwiches.We were served rare, sliced, at least 1/2 fat, tri tip.After calling and complaining, the owner called me. He was immediately defensive.He told me on the phone that they have never sold brisket. He told me that it was not cooked all the way because he was under the impression that we were eating it Sunday that we were supposed to “finish it out” on our own.What you see in the photograph (5 lbs) was $90
Stopped in and bought a LB of tri tip and it was really good. Definitely going back.
Food was good but not much of a selection... Price was pretty good for the special I thought.
