Great food seemed to come maybe a bit too quick! The garlic oil that come with the bread was amazing! Didn’t need a starter- 2 had steak and said it was the best ever, 2 had pasta and was good. I would of given 5 stars but like others have said staff are a bit abrupt. Quirky decor a bit like being in an old fashion lounge! View all feedback.
What Alma Ponce doesn't like about Grande Italia:
We had a vegan in our group who asked the waitress for help picking a vegan option. When the food turned up she pointed out the pasta was full of ham. The waitress simply said well that’s what you ordered and walked off. Thankfully the mistake didn’t happen to someone with a food allergy. View all feedback.
The first time that I charm us, a bresaola and bresaola with a pizza and spaghete alla vongole the second parpadelle and an unknown paste for the bocco ragu bear. is not a pizzeria but it is more evident for a trattoria with winter dishes now I recommend it good ambinete and ninigun problem
I can 't thank Claudio, the incredible Litya and the team enough for the wonderful food and service which we received on our two visits in late August '23. I only wish I had the opportunity to eat at this incredible restaurant more frequently ... sadly, I don 't know of any Italian eatery here in the UK which is as good.
Worst service ever experienced. Terrible attutide, only wants cash taken by some old guy in the back. Pay attention it seems they change name for restaurant often. Food is within ok, the chef should run away asap. Stay away
A great place for a relaxed family meal. We visited 3 times over two weeks, and everyone loved it. It is busy, so reservations are recommended. There is a good choice of Italian dishes, all prepared and presented in an authentic manner. Other reviewers have mentioned the garlic oil and bread, which is a great start to the meal (if you really like garlic! . Portion sizes are generous, particularly the deserts. Considering the number of diners, there aren 't many staff, and they are kept very busy, so don 't expect a lot of chat, but they are very efficient and helpful when asked. The restaurant has a real buzz, and the quirky decor makes it feel comfortable and welcoming. There are some other quirks too, such as the lack of detail on the bill when it comes, and the fact that the owner wants paid in cash, but the food is so inexpensive, I don 't think these should put anyone off. Despite his reputation, I found Claudio to be quite funny he has a dry sense of humour and he even let me take his photo! (I had to use the Tripadvisor map option to find this restaurant: I thought it was called O 'Pazzo Italiano !
Wonderful everything. good service, good food, varied menu. highly recommended
