Sofia's Cantina Mexican - Rogersville

The menus display prices, but be prepared for a surprise when the bill arrives. What should have been less than $20 ended up costing nearly $30. When we asked the owner's wife about the discrepancy, she explained that prices had gone up in the last six months but they hadn't updated the menu to reflect this change. It felt like they were taking advantage of customers. We should have guessed something was off when we arrived on a Sunday afternoon and saw only four other people in the restaurant. We won’t be returning!

The fish tacos and drinks were excellent. If you enjoy some heat, be sure to ask for their hot sauce!

I have dined here on two occasions, the most recent being 24 hours ago. I ordered several different dishes each time to sample various meal options, and I was very pleased with each one.

The food was excellent. I was there twice during my visit and it was not busy in the beginning of the week elsa kept us during the meal company and I wish I would live closer. I would go there all the time.

I don't normally leave reviews but this time I had to, since it's been the last few visits... the food was absolutely terrible, and I really used to love this place, the chicken was dried out, (not crispy-as in over cooked)dried out old... we were charged for tea's instead of water's, we were over charged for both meals according to the menu's, (for dinner). The rice was not regular cooked rice- it was instant, the cheese dip was watery, the shrimp in the chimichangas was seriously dried out and smelled!! after I had her take off the tea's she said the other prices had just gone up. It was just a terrible experience that day.
