A heart-warming thank you to Shell night shift staff member Mr. James J. for his kindness, caring, and paying attention to customer needs. He made sure that I was safe while sleeping in the parking lot after stopping to sleep due to being exhausted from driving. James cared enough to ask if I had enough sleep before leaving because he was worried that I didn't rest well due to noisy traffic conditions. We had a conversation to ensure that I was awake before driving. I observed Mr. James interacting with several customers. He knew and called some regular customers by name and he knew some items they would be purchasing and placed the items on the counter before the items were requested for purchase. I didn't have any issues with the gas or gas pump. The store and restrooms looked neat and clean. The hot beverages were filled, and the counters were clean. Also, McDonald's crew cooked me fresh fries and brewed fresh coffee when I ordered those items. Next time, I plan to return to the Shell when traveling through Rogersville, MO.
