Overall, my experience at Tartine was enjoyable. I dined with my family, and we tried several dishes. The calamari was quite salty, however. The French dip and the cod Provençal were adequate, but nothing extraordinary. The roasted potatoes, on the other hand, were outstanding—I highly recommend them. I'd like to like this place, but the food just isn't good. I've given it several chances too, thinking maybe I just ordered the one item that is lacking in flavor. But I've been to Tartine at least half a dozen times. And I can't give a good review for any of the entrees I've had which are also quite pricey. I had an outstanding meal from beginning to end. The atmosphere was delightful, and the staff was very helpful in recommending a wine for us. The salmon was cooked to perfection, and the succotash was exceptionally fresh. I would have given a full 5 stars, but the roasted dates were meant to come with goat cheese, which I couldn't taste, although they were still delicious. Additionally, the risotto was a bit too watery, which prevented it from having that rich, creamy texture we were hoping for, though it was cooked al dente. I also appreciate that they have an entire section of the menu dedicated to vegan dishes. Overall, the service was excellent.
I had an incredible experience with the atmosphere, service, and food. I'm especially grateful for the extensive vegan menu—something that's quite rare in French cuisine—as well as the selection of non-alcoholic drinks! Everything I tasted was exceptional, and I can't wait to come back.
I went for brunch and ordered the mushroom omelet with leeks, along with a salad, a side of hash browns, and the bread service. Everything was excellent!
Great atmosphere and wonderful service. Unique dishes and very high quality ingredients. Excellent variety of global wines are offered. Unique cocktails that are not your typical spirits and mixer. Be bold and try something new! The tartines are open face sandwiches that offer a great option as opposed to your everyday open-faced sandwiches. The French onion tartines was by far our favorite! We order the steak tartar on bone marrow. While the beef was well, flavored and served perfectly. It could do without the bone marrow as it was cold and not well seasoned. Desserts are a must try as we had the crème brûlée and the pot du creme. Perfection! Service is top notch and quick! I recommend ordering a course, finishing it and then ordering the next course. The kitchen is super fast and if you don't want to be rushed, this is a great way to enjoy Your meal.
Had my baby shower there and everything was PERFECT. Jen was the best event planner I’ve ever used for a room rental. She was on top of it leading up to the event and her/her entire team was amazing and helpful day off including set up our personal decor and cleaning up. Plus food/service was excellent. I highly recommend the space!
