Buddy's Bbq - Rocky Mount

Buddy's from my understanding is a newer restaurant in the area. Of course, as I have BBQ LOVE, I had to try it. They serve meat plates and family plates. You have brisket, pulled pork and chicken, chicken wing, half chicken plus all good fixes. When entering the building you will be welcomed by friendly faces and a modern rustic environment. It's a great place and I'd like to have a room in my house so nice. The service was great and the prices were very fair compared to other BBQ places. This is obviously very popular place in the area because you need to go to strange dining times to get a place. The brisket is moist, the pulled pork is high quality, but the lush puppies are so unique to me. It looks like they're making the Hush puppies as if they were making funnel cakes. I don't usually like Hush puppies, but these were the best I ever had! I'd go there, just for her, let alone her BBQ. If you ever find yourself in this small town in Virginia, you need to try it out!

I have to start with the beans!! They were sooo good!!! The hush puppies were sweet and tasty. The food was delicious. I absolutely loved the things in the bathroom. The staff was nice and friendly.

We tried the ultimate burger and wow! It's delicious. Best hush puppies ever! You have your own homemade BBQ sauce and it's so good too! Try it.

Traveled back down to the area for family business and once again I made the stop to this wonderful BBQ restaurant. The new location just down the street from the old one is a complete overhaul and upgrade. It was packed almost immediately after they opened at 11am. The food once again stole the show with fantastic flavors and tender meats. I had the brisket tray with buddy's banging beans and coleslaw along with the Jamaican Jerk wings. The small portion is just enough to fill you up but if you dig it the platter is the way to go. Now there is outside dining and live music so if you want the best BBQ, this is the place to go.

Great restaurant with delicious grill! The nachos were mostly broken chips, but it was delicious! The service was wonderful. The Hush puppies are like funnel cakes!
