For the price of an all-you-can-eat sushi place, this was very good! The one dish that prevented a 5-star review was one of the rolled sushi fell apart (when it never did before). My party of 5 included 3 big eaters and the servers were very accommodating. The shrimp tempura was not as crispy as we've had at other places, another reason for the 4 stars. All other items were well made. The chicken katsu, the udon, the... View all feedback.
What Gracie B doesn't like about Asahi Japanese:
Garbage service. Super slow. We came here because we love all you can eat sushi, it's a great value and it's the only one within 45mins of us. We waited 25mins for our first few rolls. Then another 35-40 for our next round. There was one sushi chef on and he was SLOW. All the rolls had wayyyyyy too much rice. All you tasted was rice in every bite. We will NOT be returning. The bento boxes here differ from the ones I've had at other restaurants. Typically, a bento includes a choice of protein, rice, shumai, and sometimes tempura or a basic roll. At Asahi, the bento box came with hibachi noodles (which were a bit bland on purpose, as you're meant to mix them with sauce and protein), white rice, a protein option, a California roll, a $2 tempura option, and canned diced pineapple for dessert. Canned pineapple? Really? But I must admit, my Beef Teriyaki Bento Box was only $7.95, making it a few dollars cheaper than many other places, and it also included soup and salad, which is a nice touch. Overall, I appreciate the prices. The meal was filling, and while it wasn't anything spectacular, it was certainly passable for a cheap lunch that brought a slight smile to my face. The staff was quite friendly, which added to the overall experience. I also ordered sushi—Spicy Salmon and Spicy Crabmeat—which were good, though I found them a bit on the dry side. Still, for two rolls at lunch, the price was incredibly low. In all honesty, my visit was somewhat forgettable, but since I'm a local and it only took me five minutes to get there, I can see this place being a convenient option for me due to the prices. I would give it three stars—definitely not worth a 30-minute drive, but that’s just my take. I hope things improve for them in the future!
I had a late lunch with my daughter at Asahi, where we enjoyed a luncheon special. We began with soup and salad, followed by three rolls for just $8.95. Both the soup and salad were delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant for sushi, whether you're looking for a nice lunch or dinner. The prices are very reasonable as well. So tasty!
When our sushi finally arrived, it was a nice assortment. As is common with all-you-can-eat sushi buffets, the rice-to-fish ratio was around 70/30 most of the time, which is to be expected. Overall, I'd recommend Asahi for your sushi buffet cravings; it's above average. Just be sure to manage your expectations. The staff were all friendly and pleasant, which added to the positive experience.

I love this restaurant. The food is always fresh. I mean you can't beat the price of less than $20.00 for all you can eat sushi. They offer a variety of food on their menu and their portions are very generous. They have friendly staff and they always remember what I order. This is a great restaurant to come and try new sushi's without having to worry how much it's going to cost. The spicy tuna, salmon nigiri, and Rainbow rolls are my favorite. As an appetizer order the avocado salad. It comes with half an avocado and ginger dressing. I come here at least once a week if not more.
