Description

Once-celebrated neighborhood BBQ, now under new ownership, delivers generous, affordable portions and friendly, attentive service amid nostalgic NASCAR decor and out-of-the-way charm. However, guests report uneven food quality, limited menu consistency, and cleanliness concerns — including questionable silverware handling and a recent health score of 85. Takeout and rear parking make it convenient for a casual stop, and signature items like thick chili-and-slaw cheeseburgers still draw fans, though many long for the flavor and stewardship of the previous cook.

Firstly, I send many blessings to the Gallawayd family. I want everyone to understand something important: my brother Rob holds nothing but respect for Todd. They actually prayed together, and Rob expressed that God knows what's best for everyone, wishing nothing but complete success for them in life. Many people are saying that my brother is angry or upset, but that's simply not true. Those who really know him understand that he doesn't harbor hate in his heart. May God bless you and your family.

Rockwell may be a bit off the beaten path, but Darrell's BBQ is definitely worth the trip. The portions are quite generous, and everything is served fresh. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive, genuinely focused on providing good service rather than just on tips. I experienced this firsthand when I ordered takeout and forgot to tip, then returned an hour later to rectify my mistake. The waitress mentioned that she hadn't even noticed, which spoke volumes to me. Naturally, I tipped as I had intended to do in the first place. As for parking, there’s more available behind the building than in front!

This is the best burger in Rockwell! Definitely worth it to spend the extra 25 cents for the larger size. The tomatoes are wonderful too!

First time visit. I went for the flounder. It was lunch time and flounder was served at 4. Had the large cheeseburger at $4.75. Mustard, Chilli and slaw. Very thick burger, fresh and delicious. A large wall of die-cast Nascar memorabilia helped set the atmosphere. I will be back.
