Dunns River Lounge - Rockville Centre

I always enjoy dining at this restaurant. The staff, food, and music create an intimate and fun atmosphere.

The place is nice and the food is pretty good. The issue remains the same, the restaurant space is compact. Perhaps better in the summer time if there is outdoor space to help with seating etc. Overall, I had a great time, the music was lively and the energy of the staff and DJ was refreshing. I didn’t like the fact that you don’t get an actual receipt while dining at the tables (you do get one at the bar). So it’s difficult to analyze what you’re being charged. The fact that gratuity was included was not disclosed so you could tip twice if that wasn’t your intention.

Food was great and didn't have to wait long. Great crowd and great service. Would recommend sitting at the higher sitting tables.

My wife and I celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary at Dunn's River Lounge and had a great experience. The atmosphere was pleasant, the food was delicious, and they even played the "It's Your Anniversary" song for us. They brought out a flaming candle with cake to make the occasion feel special. Our two children were with us, so the value for a family of four was also good. We were happy to support a Black-owned restaurant and celebrate Black Love. Thank you Dunn's River Lounge for the positive vibes!

A few of my friends and I came to celebrate a birthday at this restaurant. While I had been there before, it was the first time for most of my group. Everyone enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The service from Calisia was excellent, as she took care of everything perfectly. One friend found the rum punch too sweet, but my margarita was delicious. The food was succulent and divine, with generous portion sizes that exceeded our expectations. This was a pleasant surprise, considering many restaurants have been reducing portion sizes and increasing prices during the pre-COVID era. Despite traveling from Suffolk County, I would definitely come back again.
