Cala Di Mare Italian Grill

Cala di Mare Excellent food, my wife enjoy salmon and grilled shrimp special. My choice was roasted duck and was absolutely delicious. Definitely coming back!!!

The Mussels Adriatic appetizer was outstanding, recommended to all when it is offered. The Pork Tenderloin over Wild Rice entree special was unbelievably tender and delicious. Chef Edwards in the kitchen continues to amaze and please with his creations.

The Veal Millanaise was outstanding as usual. If you love a great veal dish, it is a must try.

Will never go there ,food was not good crab cake had no crab expensive meal for what you got serve.

There was a limited menu when we ate at Cala di Mare on Valentine's Day. Normally that would mean the restaurant would be serving its best food and providing the best service. However, based on our experience that evening, we wouldn't go back to try the rest of the menu. Three course meal for $35 seemed like a good deal but it wasn't worth the money. Appetizers: single crabcake was small and had too much filler. Caesar salad OK but nothing special. Mozzarella and tomato, small portion, just OK. Mains: Ravioli fair, salmon below average, and the chicken was breaded which should not occur at any decent Italian restaurant. For perhaps the third time in 35 years of dining with my wife, she had to put ketchup on the steak. Dessert: average, but it's likely the chocolate cake and cheesecake were store-bought. Best part of the meal: the potato chips at the bar, which we grabbed whenever we walked by. Sorry, but there are much better options in Rockville Centre and surrounding towns.
