The vegball sub is my favorite! However, everything on the menu is fantastic, especially the options made with rice and mushrooms. It feels like casual dining but remains quite healthy! They also offer gluten-free, soy-free, and nut-free choices. This review has been updated since the previous one on November 19, 2019. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about St. Veg:
They serve pho, but they don’t offer lime? This place was a total letdown. Nothing I tried was good. They won't even post their prices, which haven't been updated since the previous review on June 3, 2022. View all feedback.
I can't believe it took so long to finally taste this jewel of a restaurant. 100% vegan and home made delicious dishes that really satisfy your taste buds. I had the Pho (not pictured because I threw it up) and the Medley bowl (half rice and half green) and finished an apple handcake. I also had the lavender iced tea and recommended the fragrant drink.
St. Veg is my go-to restaurant. The shredded medley bowel delivers good texture and flavor and can be low carb with greens option. The vegloaf is a terrific invention. Suggestions: 1) Always order extra vegloaf and shredded medly. 2) Order Mumbai Koftas with sauce on the side. The sauce can be used all week. The cookies are very good. The devil is in the details for a good experience and St. Veg attends to details. Updated from previous review on 2021-10-03
Both my non-vegan friend and I enjoyed the selection and food we ordered. Updated from previous review on 2023-01-05
The food (all organic) and staff are amazing. We were greeted with a warm welcome when we came in, assisted by one staff member who answered questions about our order. Then the cook went to work and did her magic. Wow, we were just blown away by the quality of the meal, the flavors and textures, and spices. While drawing on many traditional cuisines including Vietnamese, regions of India, and more, St. Veg has its own unique spin on things. The ingredients could not be fresher. I'd had their incredible sandwiches in the past, including the Veg Loaf and Mumbai Sub. This time, I got the Pho soup, and it was the best I've had. My husband's burger was also tremendous and had a crunchiness to it that was extraordinary. His fries were crispy but not overly oily. And the soft spring rolls are, like the soup, some of the best I've had over a lifetime of enjoying international meals. I should add that another thing that is unique about St. Veg is that they don't use processed mock meats but make their burgers and other proteins from scratch with vegetables and legumes. This is a delightful change from processed products. The restaurant is simply and pleasantly decorated. You order at the counter and are served. I mentioned to the owner that I can't remember seeing a restaurant so spotlessly clean, another sign that every attention to customer care has been addressed. We don't live nearby but have determined we will go out of our way to return regularly.
I found this place on happy cow because I was in an area I’m not familiar with and was on a time crunch. I am so happy I tried it out! I ordered the Katsu Curry bowl, pb cookie, and lemonade and everything was wonderful. The customer service was also incredible. I’ll definitely be back when I’m in the area again.
