The food, atmosphere, and service were all outstanding. We would definitely return in a heartbeat!

The roasted salmon was decent, but the vegetable selection was primarily carrots, and the garlic mashed potatoes smothered in cream sauce could have been improved with some fresh steamed broccoli and a baked potato instead. The spinach salad featured fresh, quality greens and hearty bacon bits. The blueberry pie was a bit heavy, but the vanilla ice cream was enjoyable. The Maine Lunch beer was quite good. The servers were very pleasant. We were seated outside under a vinyl roof during a heavy rainstorm, which created a somewhat less-than-relaxing ambiance, although the other diners were friendly and chatty.

After at least 30 minutes without our food, the waitress came by to apologize for the delay. I reassured her that it was no problem; I always make an effort to stay polite and respond courteously to waitstaff. However, another 30 minutes passed, and a different person—presumably the owner or manager—stopped by to inform us that our order had never made it to the kitchen due to a printer issue, but they were now processing it. They comped my wife's fountain drink, which seemed more like a token gesture. Eventually, after another long wait, our food arrived. My burger was cooked medium-rare and had lettuce on it, despite my request. My wife's vegan burger had two tiny pieces of bread for buns. She politely asked for a full-size bun. Once we finished, the waitress cleared our table but did not check back to see if we wanted dessert or our check. After waiting an additional 20 minutes, my wife had to ask another waitress for our check because our original waitress was nowhere to be found. When the check finally arrived, I left a 10% tip, feeling it was appropriate given the poor service and the need to ask for the check. As we left the restaurant, our waitress followed us outside to express her displeasure, claiming we were rude and suggesting we shouldn't return. I assured her that it wasn’t an issue since we had no intention of coming back. We had been nothing but polite throughout our experience, but it was clear she hadn’t put in the effort she should have to keep tabs on our order and check back with us. I stand by my original comments regarding service quality at this establishment. My attempts to be courteous were met with a lack of follow-up from the waitress. Typically, I leave 20-25% tips, so the decision to leave 10% was a deliberate message regarding the service we received. It felt particularly telling that the waitress brought up her frustrations only after we had already left the restaurant and she saw the tip. Based on our experience and the attitude we encountered, I echo my recommendation to avoid this restaurant. There are definitely better options in town with far superior food and service.
