Without a doubt, this restaurant serves the best lobster in Rockland, and possibly all of the Maine coast! The lobster sandwich is generously filled and the grilled bungalow and salad are delightful additions. It may also be one of the most affordable lobster options around $23 in July 2022. What User doesn't like about Hazel's Take-out:
One downside of an employee having bright red dyed hair is that those hairs are very easily identifiable when you pull them out of your mouth. We waited well over 30 minutes for our “fast food” (their words) to come out of the kitchen. The parts of the food that did not have hair in them were fine. They also ask you how much you’d like to tip before the food comes out, which I cannot stand. View all feedback.
This place is a gem all-around excellent. TONS of options, all of them great. Highly recommend the spicy sausage the Hazel's sausage. Milkshakes are also top-notch. Perfect Arnold Palmer, not too sweet like most. Lots of outdoor seating, both sunny and shady, and the servers brought our meal to us. Everyone on staff was super nice. It's clear that Hazel's is a local favorite, as there were many returning customers eating alongside us. Dog friendly too. Literally couldn't be better.

Excellent food had lobster, ****, and calamari. All was very good. A simple place to stop by. I would go there again.
Takeout only with outdoor picnic tables for eating. I had the Shrimp Dinner which included fries, coleslaw, and tartar sauce for $16.50. (I asked for, and received, cocktail sauce instead of the tartar sauce All very good and very fast. Would definitely eat here again!
We stumbled across this place after a detour from Rt 1 heading north to Camden (to find a local gallery). After having lobster or lobster rolls every day for a week, the lobster rolls here were $5 to $10 cheaper, and 20% better than what I had all week. We liked it so much that we made the same detour coming back south in order to have lunch there again. It was still warm enough in September to have a pleasant lunch outside on the brightly colored picnic tables. Great place.
