Golden Harvest Palace - Rockingham

When a quick meal on a Thursday night and was disappointed compared to previous owners. Service was not up to standard and the normal meals we ordered tasted substantially different. I am not implying that the food is bad, just saying that we did not enjoy it . Very reasonably priced and meals delivered quickly.

Well they certainly were fast, there was 8 of us ready to settle for the evening, but despite asking for time between dishes they still delivered the meals and we felt rushed. Don't get me wrong the food was great price was average and service great.

Food was okay, but the waiter dropped one of our dishes on the floor. Instead of just replacing it, he attempted to pick the mess up off the floor and seemed to be intending to put it back on the plate! We had to stop him, but that was that. No replacement dish, no indication from the staff that anything was wrong at all. Now you could understand if all that had happened was that he'd made a mistake. Maybe it was his first day on the job or something. What we could not accept was the 'so what' attitude of management.When we complained the manager offered us free (soft) drinks which, because that was apparently as good as it was going to get, we accepted. We later found that he had in fact added these to the bill, and that they had charged us for the full dish even though half of it was on the floor. There were ten of us. That's ten people who'll never see the interior of Wing Bo again, and who could add their own reviews here if necessary.

We regularly visit this restaurant as a family as it is very affordable. The menu has a great range. The chef always makes adjustments for family members with specific medical/food requirement which is greatly appreciated. We happily return every few weeks.

Now called the Wing Bo with new management the food is tasty and the fried rice is very good. Take away food is not as good but would recommend to dine in. Can take a while for food to get to the table but was enjoyable when it arrived. The staff were friendly and look after your every needs.
