With the dark furnishings and subdued lighting this cafe is a good location for a quiet coffee and cake. It gets busy during lunch, but outside that midday rush there is space a plenty and the clientele are mostly older. The owners choose not to offer eftpos and in this day and age that is a little odd, so keep some cash on you. There are ATMs near the bag shop. What User doesn't like about Cafe Emporio:
This cafe in the middle of City Centre Plaza does not run consistently, such a hit and miss - the service is sometimes friendly sometimes grumpy, the quality of coffee is inconsistent and the food is generally just better than average. Seems a little overpriced for meals and take away bites, and yes like reviews mentioned before, they do not offer eftpos. So take cash. Such a downer because of this so many just go ne... Since with my wife and son food was fresh and full of flavors, the brush for beginners was also very tasty, the owner really has his heart in it and ensures that he explains the menu and back to check if everything is okay.
Order two chicken and salad rolls for lunch. Rolls were annoyed managers and their answer was that they would make a different role, but would not refund money. Why did you want to make another Stale Roll for you? Too expensive. Not happy with the attitude of the managers.
The staff at this restaurant is pleasant and welcoming. We were greeted upon entering and wished a nice day as we left. I have dined here multiple times and have never been let down. The coffee is consistently good, the atmosphere is always clean, and the staff works diligently and efficiently. The food is consistently delicious. Well done. This is my favorite coffee spot in Rocky.

Such a downer because so many simply go next to Deganis Café, but I'm not a fan of their coffee so I like to go without.

Toilets are towards the Coles and as they're maintained by centre management the store has no control over cleanliness, but they're usually clean and easily accessible. The staff are good natured and service is within a reasonable time. Generally a good place to take a break and have a chat.
