Captain Nemo's - ROCKHAMPTON CITY

I visited this coffee shop located in the Calliope shopping complex and stopped only for a cup of coffee while on the road. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the coffee was very good, which can be hard to come by.

Very popular at lunchtime for sandwiches and subs. There's a small parking area out front and it's next to Centrelink.

Captain Nemos have been making delicious Subs for the lucky people of Rockhampton for over 30 years, and they were here before Subway arrived years ago. Dont expect Subway style subs, these babies are big!! The rolls are freshly baked locally or you can have toasted style melts. Every Sub has a nautical theme, e.g Nautilus, Super Sub, Neptune and many more. The bread roll is quite thick so allow time to eat a half size. A full one would keep you going all day, if you could possibly eat it all!! Ask for the special sauce and dressing together to get that delicious slightly sogginess through your sub. Recommend the Super Sub, ,it has 2 different meats I think, with salad. The staff are awesome and friendly and the service is prompt. Expect a wait if you dont phone order ahead in the lunch rush. There will be a line of hungry customers.

This place is bit of a Rockhampton institution and rightfully so. Nemo's always makes amazing food that you are never disappointed with. The staff are wonderful, always friendly and happily accommodating. If you are in Rocky during the day, want a quick lunch that will fill you up for a very good price, you wont regret stopping in at Nemo's.

I first remembering having Nemos as a 16 year old 31 years ago left town for 15 years came back and well still that great taste, quality products and friendly staff. If you visit Rockhampton get yourself here, even better now they have 3 stores 2 Rocky and one on the Coast
