Graystone Grill - Rockford
Graystone Grill
Description
The recently reopened restaurant offers a blend of highs and lows, making for a varied dining experience. While the atmosphere boasts a stunning view and live music—ideal for date nights—the food quality remains inconsistent. Guests praise the pizza and certain dishes like the bruschetta and angel hair pasta, yet many noted issues with the limited menu and some lackluster items. Service can be hit-or-miss, ranging from friendly to sluggish. Though the restaurant shows promise and creativity, potential diners might want to wait for a fuller menu and improved organization before visiting.

Great food and service. I booked a reservation for 4, they quickly accommodated a 5th person. Only negative was the menu was different than what was shown on Opentable.
The food and service were excellent. I had a reservation for four, but they quickly accommodated a fifth person without any issues. The only downside was that the menu displayed was different from what was shown on OpenTable.
Went there on a Friday night soon after the restaurants were allowed to open. They have open seating first come first serve, no reservations. They only have a limited menu for now. Basically bar food. Service was ok but food was less than average. Pizza was the best which was just ok. Chicken sandwich was not good and made with dark meat. Salad was mostly iceberg lettuce which also had dark meat chicken pieces which was really not good. Wait until they fully open to go unless you just want a drink.
Just had a couple drinks during happy hour. Very nice patio. Drinks were pretty weak but nice view.
Great atmosphere for date night. beautiful view of the terrace with live music. the creative menu of giovanni’s has not disappointed. Appear: the bruschetta was amazing with warm cheese and a roasted goat cheese round. the hummus was good, but the freshly washed vegetables in the same bowl gives them water break. I love it at giovanni’s, love it here. if you're not really hungry, that's perfect. the nash pulled pork with cauliflower. very good. sue’s angel hair pasta huh, sun dried tomato, spinat, feta, and just the right amount dill. delicious. philly filled burger did right and delicious. the waffel chips are a novelty, but tasted a little stale. the pommes were much better. overall we enjoyed everything about this new restaurant and go back. but we do it before september. they are closed for winter.
