The atmosphere of fear surrounding job security prevents staff from speaking up about issues, leading to a workplace where employees are primarily concerned with keeping their jobs rather than addressing problems. This definitely isn’t the supportive work environment they claim to foster. In my opinion, this is still the worst-managed department in the entire university. Their typical response to issues is either to throw money at them or to shuffle people around without resolving the underlying problems. I regret having been a part of such a disappointing place and feel sorry for those who remain trapped in this cycle perpetuated over generations. I can only imagine what George would think.
