I stayed at the Rock Hill, SC location on January 27-28, 2022. I have stayed here multiple times before and never had a problem with cleaning. This particular night in there was brown spots on the shower wall. In the bedroom there was a can behind the lamp and when i pulled back the blanket a cigar wrapper was in the sheet. A strange circular traffic makes it that they have to pass the hotel and come back to it. the room was pretty nice for what I expected, but I wouldn't book it for a date night. it is suitable for a business trip. customer service at check-in was however before location and pleasant.
If I were a zero rating. we booked a reservation in this hotel as it was listed as a pet-friendly at booking.com. after more than 13 hours drive we reached the hotel exhausted and look forward to our room. Previously, I received an email that my credit card was rejected. not true, as I immediately called and the hotel enforced the room fee before our arrival. When we arrived, the director of the reception asked me if we had pets. when I said, a cat he gave me a cold star and said I don't give you the reservation because we don't take any cats. I thought he was gonna sweat first. I told him I had already paid and had booked the hotel as it was pet friendly. he said you weren't staying here very rude, and we only take dogs, which I asked for a refund and he swore I would get them in 3-5 days. that is the most rude person I have ever worked for a hotel. he could have taken less care of our situation and that we had to clog for another room in another hotel on a Friday night. no suggestion where I look. When my man came in and to see the manager, he said he was the manager. a verbal transformation took place as he was still very offensive and he said that we should not travel with a cat. fortunately, booking.com has found us a room in the hampton inn at a higher price. we will never stay in a la quinta again. I still can't believe how terrible the recipe was.
It was nice, we would definitely stay here again. new hotel, very clean. our room was large, clean and comfortable. the staff at the reception and the kitchen staff were very friendly and helpful. there is also a pool table and a bar.
I usually try to avoid La Quinta Inns because they're usually run down and poorly managed. This one, however, is exceptional. It is very new and clean and is apparently very well managed. They have a nice breakfast in the morning and a well-maintained and well equipped fitness center as well. Everything about this one was quite nice.
