Had to share this, just had the best fish and chips I've ever had in a pub. The crispiest batter on the planet! Massive piece of cod, cooked perfectly and good big portion of chips. I've been going to the plough for a while now and never had a bad meal, love it! View all feedback.

read moreThe Plough and Sail in Paglesham East End presents a mixed culinary experience that has left patrons divided. While the charming pub boasts a rich history and warm atmosphere, food quality appears inconsistent. Some guests recall excellent meals, particularly the beloved fish and chips; however, recent visits report dry chicken, poorly executed liver and bacon, and unseasoned dishes. Yet, positive experiences still shine through, emphasizing attentive service and enjoyable desserts. Overall, despite a few shining moments, many diners express disappointment, questioning the establishment's consistency and expressing hesitation for future visits. The Plough and Sail's potential remains, but improvement is needed.
