Grand Tavern Rochester Hills

Price was a killer... one price for pasta and anything else was added to the bill. No what I am used .

Last night my family and myself went to Grand Tavern for supper after a long day. Our waiter Xhorxh was absolutely amazing! Personally, I have dietary restrictions and explained to him that I am unable to have gluten, dairy, or egg. I had already pre-creeped the menu before arriving so I could find a meal that would be easy to hopefully adapt to my dietary restrictions. After explaining my restrictions Xhorxh was ON IT! He immediately spoke to the chef and the chef adapted my meal to my restrictions. Xhorxh did tell me that there could be a possible cross contamination with gluten on one of my sides and explained that they couldn’t guarantee that that one thing would be gluten free. Listen, not very often in the service industry do you come across a wait staff member or chef that made sure to cross all of the boxes. I ordered brussel sprouts as the appetizer without the cheese (I could have had three plates of that it was so good) and the cedar plank salmon and ordered two veggies as my side. IT was DELISH!!!!! Xhorxh also made sure that our drinks were constantly filled and took amazing care of our family. My MIL even made a comment after we received our meals how she really liked him as a waiter. I wished we had a Grand Tavern where we lived but unfortunately we are 8 hours away but we will absolutely be back when visiting family! Picture is my meal but I had already demolished my asparagus ? Dietary restrictions: Easily adapted to my gluten/dairy/egg restrictions.

Racism at its finest! My daughter went for an interview here today and the male hostess asked her what is your origin and if she knew who Kim Jong Un was because she is Asian! Then proceeded to tell her that North Koreas is a democracy! The owner told her to have a seat for her interview and never came back! She was so appalled and uncomfortable by this man she left! Do not go here!

We had a great experience for dinner. Our server, Kristian, was very friendly, and he made sure that we were taken care of. The food was absolutely delicious, and the portions are really large. The atmosphere is nice but it was really loud. The outside seating area was really nice though, so I'll probably go for that next time.
