I've been going here for a good 5 yrs and I have to say it's pretty nice. The food isn't always spot on, but definitely hits the spot and those who work there have been there for a while, so if you're a regular, they'll know what you want. The waitresses actually have personality too! Amber's probably my favorite.

I take pride in being a former customer of Gitsis and now a patron of The Avenue Diner. I feel especially honored to join this team as a new waitress. The staff here has been incredibly supportive and welcoming; despite just opening a week ago, they’ve made me feel like part of the family. Billy and Spiro are not only great leaders but also hardworking individuals who truly engage with their team, rather than just taking a backseat. Congratulations on this beautiful new establishment! If you get the chance, definitely try the packs, salads, and paninis. I might be a bit biased now, but I’m eagerly anticipating trying everything—while I loved the previous menu at Gitsis, the new additions are simply amazing!

I ordered the chicken parmesan and absolutely loved it. The highlight was definitely the cheesecake for dessert—it was fantastic! The service at this restaurant was wonderful as well. We returned with a friend and I decided to try the garbage plate, which was amazing! My partner and our friend had steak, eggs, home fries, and cheese, and they really enjoyed it too. Overall, the service was excellent!

This is a great spot for a quick lunch. Most of the staff are friendly and efficient. The diner-style food is satisfying, with a wide variety to choose from. I always enjoy the cradle and fries, and the engraving adds a nice touch. The coffee is good, and they never let your cup go empty, which is an essential aspect of excellent diner service!
