The BBQ at this place is good, but it falls short of being a 5-star restaurant. I was disappointed to find that they only had half a rack of ribs available at 1PM. Although the ribs were good, they were not served very hot. I appreciated that the sauce was served on the side, indicating that the meat was flavorful on its own. Food was cold and just didn't enjoy it at all, to expensive for the small portions. Then my roommate went there and texted me to not go there before he even knew about my personal View all feedback.
I have never had a bad meal here. My favorites are the Piggy Tots or Mac n Cheese. The Piggy Tots are so good that it?s hard for me to not want to order them every week and their Mac n cheese is the perfect comfort food, it?s creamy and delicious. I had their Chicken and Waffles special last night and every single bite was the perfect combination of salty and sweet, I can?t say enough good things about it. Their staff is very friendly and the owners are amazing.
We have been here a number of times now. Food has been excellent each time. It does not stand out on the street, so you need to look for it. My wife loves the bacon wrapped stuffed jalapeno peppers...
Our server was very kind and upbeat. That was nice. We managed to beat the rush which was lucky for us. The burnt ends are fabulous and I tried the smoked wings deep fried which I enjoyed. I look forward to trying the grilled chicken wings next visit. During a previous visit I tried the bbq ribs which were amazing! We didn't order any alcoholic beverages, but the root beer soda was good. The meal, a bit pricey $50 $100) for two people, but to me quality food is worth it. A nice treat.
Enjoy the BBQ. The staff is great and attentive. Love the selection of sauces available. Appetizers have a different twist and flavor full. Will have to take pictures of food next time. They do have an intersting selection of beer and ciders. Thank you!
This was an accidental find last night, as we headed out for seafood only to find our destination closed! A serendipity occurrence landed us at this outstanding restaurant! Service was fast and pleasant, and the food was delicious. Their chili reminded me of one I made that had simmered over coals all day, and Penny had the Brunswick Stew as a side and it was excellent as well. The earlier review about the Mac and cheese being the ultimate comfort food was not wrong. The meats we had were perfectly smoked (I'll get my brisket to come out right someday! . Try the jalapeño and cheddar sausage. Not overly spicy, but very full of flavor. They have a great selection of BBQ sauces, I tried them all. A final nice touch is Rocky, one of the owners taking the time to check in with the tables and chatting a bit. Definitely adding this place to our must do again list.
