J B Quimby's - Rochester

I visited Quimby's on J.B. Quimby about 10 years ago when I worked in the same strip mall (Winton Plaza). It was just as good today as it was back then! The food is incredibly delicious, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is great. I had the special seafood platter today since it's Fish Fry Friday in New York! It was only $12 for the fish fry, fries (which were a bit broken), scallops, and mushrooms. Oh, and there was cole slaw too! I added a drink, which bumped my final bill to around $14 and some change. Fish fries are my favorite, and this is only the third place I've tried in Rochester over the years, making it a perfect spot for me. I've included some photos of Quimby’s and the food I had. By the way, their chicken wings, known as "Yardbird," are my favorite here. I didn't order them this time, but they are unforgettable from my past visits!

Although I don’t eat meat, I consider myself a foodie. I’d bet money that whoever created the veggie bowl here must have been a vegetarian! It’s loaded with vegetables! Red bell pepper, cauliflower, broccoli, snap peas, mushrooms, corn, and even artichoke hearts make up at least 75% of this dish, if not more! Everything is fresh, cooked perfectly (no soggy veggies here!), and seasoned to make your mouth water. The rice is a delightful mix, well-seasoned, and also cooked just right. Unlike other restaurants that offer veggie dishes with just a few lackluster ingredients, Quimby’s really highlights the vegetables as the star of the dish! They do it right, and I’m genuinely impressed! The portions are very generous, and the prices are fair—especially considering the variety of fresh vegetables! It’s great to have a filling meal that leaves me satisfied even the next day. One day, I will venture out to try some of the other vegetarian options on the menu, and I’m sure they’ll be delicious, but for now, I can’t stop raving about this dish! While I can’t personally vouch for everything on the menu, I’ve always heard positive remarks about the dishes. I’m also thrilled to see a restaurant that understands that vegetarians don’t just eat salads and frozen veggie burgers. J.B. Quimby’s knows how to create an excellent meal, and for that, I will remain a loyal customer!

Amazing and tasty eating! service incredible and **** mary was so good I two! beer and wing offers great offers and blt’s delicious. they design bee crisp and charming, never a bad choice for a quick bite or just want to watch sport.

We come here for lunch often and are never disappointed. There are always specials along with the regular menu, and there are a TON of sides to choose from (including tater tots and sweet potato fries). Nico is a phenomenal server- always smiling friendly, quick and has a memory like a steel trap. This place is also a favorite for happy hour- there is always something delicious on tap. This is not a date place, this is your Cheers place, enjoy accordingly.
