I'm not sure how to convey the nuanced quality of pizza here. It's nothing short of shocking and well worth a 5 minute detour from I70, not to mention a stop on the bike trip on the MKT trail. The owner replicated a true brick oven Italian pizza. Through the order counter you can see an actual dough machine in the back. When was the last time you saw one of those? The result is a heavenly, this, airy, heavenly pizza.... View all feedback.

The result is a heavenly, this, airy, heavenly pizza. All sorts of ingredient options. Alas, no anchovies. But in the middle of Missouri. I can't blame him. This is a gem worth a special trip. I ate many pizzas in Italy, San Francisco, and New York. Too many. This is the real deal. A word of warning not easy to find. Just track the trail due eat and it's right before the tunnel on the right.
We love this place!!! Great fun to bring our bikes down here and ride a little and drink some wine under the humongous mulberry tree.
Awesome location right on the Katy Trail in Rocheport right before the old railroad tunnel. Outdoor seating and wood fired pizza oven make for a great stopping point from a ride. If you need casual, low key and solid handmade pizza definitely check this place out! Did I mention $10 bottles of local wine? Looks like the are only open Friday-Sunday.
Simple, small, good. Mulberry Grill is a tiny cafe right off the Katy Trail. Bike racks out front. Order from the window and your food is brought to table on the patio. Seating is in shelters open on one side. The owners are personable, and they do it all: taking orders, serving, preparing food. Cash or check only. Very good baking drives the food here: sandwiches with excellent bread, pizza from the wood-fired oven, other high quality baked goods. Nice portion sizes and reasonable prices. Small menu, but everything we had was very good. Fresh ingredients and made to order. Our only complaint: storebought dressing for an otherwise perfect salad.
We had a great dinner here this weekend after a long day on the trail. It was literally five minutes from when we placed our order until we were served our pizzas from the wood fired stove. They were 10 inch personal pizzas and were quite good! $7 for a cheese pizza and $10 for a pizza with a variety of toppings available. The outside deck was nice, and Rocheport is a beautiful little town on the trail.
