Contribute FeedbackPavilion Restaurant in Bury presents a blend of dining experiences, leaving patrons divided. While some guests rave about the attentive service and delectable dishes—like the monkfish and prawn curry and the breaded chicken burger—others recount unfortunate visits marked by poor communication, awkward service, and disappointing meals. Complaints about overcooked dishes and unwelcoming staff contrast sharply with glowing reviews highlighting the establishment’s inviting atmosphere and culinary delights. Ultimately, Pavilion seems to offer promise, but inconsistencies in service and food quality may leave diners pondering their next visit. Enthusiastic customers encourage giving it a chance.
Amazing food excellent staff have been here four times now and the quality and attention to detail is second to none. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend.
My recent visit to Pavilion Restaurant in Bury was nothing short of exceptional. The monkfish and prawn curry was a taste sensation, and Iain, our waiter, was a true professional. The attention to detail and overall atmosphere made this an unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommended!
Sunday dinner was awful, pork was over cooked , watery carrot and swede , cauliflower cheese was just cooked in cream, no trace of cheese! Peas and ham in cream, no taste except just cream ! Parsnips shavings , would have just preferred roasted parsnips but probably because the other veg wasn’t very nice. Pudding was the smallest sliver of roulade which was basically sponge with lemon moose . Sorry it Very disappointing .
Tried booking on line no response, took a chance we drove from Birmingham to Manchester booked into The Midland Hotel. The Bistro was recommended by friends. My wife tried phoning from Manchester, automated response. I tried phoning an hour later 'NO ANSWER ' automated response. we will call you back was the recorded message. [Jokers] We decided to drive to the Bistro on the off chance. Still no return phone calls to either of us. One minute away, I received a phone call, which was surprising because I phone nearly an hour after my wife, yet they phoned me first, not my wife still no confirmation of booking online. Shocking! Lost a customer, sort yourselves out.
Where do I start? From the moment we walked in I knew we’d made a terrible mistake. There was a very strange, awkward welcome from a young lad who thought he was hilarious by welcoming us in his very best Spanish accent, to the cheap and nasty lightweight cutlery and paper napkins. As we were already there we ordered just starters to test the water. At this point we were told we had to order our main to which I said I didn’t want to. We were then accosted by the same waiter five minutes later insisting we ordered our main. I again said we didn’t want to and we didn’t want to be forced to either. A very strange set up, you want to feel welcomed in a restaurant and this was far from what we were accustomed to. Starters arrived and as predicted were terrible. Rice balls looked like they’d just been defrosted then heated up and the muscles were the smallest we’ve ever encountered. Quite frankly this is probably one the worst restaurants we’ve been to. We sent both back, paid for our wine and made a swift exit.
