Il Girarrosto - ROCCARASO

I was here last year with my partner and we were absolutely thrilled with everything from the food to the service. We came back to Roccaraso with friends this year and brought them here for a meal and I can honestly say that it was even better than we remember. The food is fabulous, portions huge, the staff truely love what they do, the suggestions they give show how much faith they have in what they serve. Michele in particular is a joy.

So glad I read a review of this restaurant on Trip Advisor as I can completely second everything said. This is such a lovely place tucked away with beautifully laid tables and a lovely cosy homely feel. Michele is a great front man and is extremely attentive and friendly. I can recommend the parpadelle pasta with mushrooms so tasty the pasta with wild boar. The house wine is lovely 1 lire €9 very reasonable and the flaming creme brûlée dessert was TFW best I have ever tasted! I will definitely return and recommend anyone to visit ... you will not be disappointed

Before I went back to the roast, I felt compelled to call. The latest negative reviews read made me think that management had changed. But it wasn't. management was always that and the meat I ate was very goose, tender and especially cooked in the grill with a skill outside the common. really excellent as in reality every time I ate before. The owner would do well to leave his wife home. denied social relations. we practically arrived at 20 38(the table was booked at 20.30) and it literally attacked us. grumpy and without heat welcome. Just hurry up. no passion for the work he did. I read in his only wisdom and diseducation. Fortunately, the husband and the other boys, all extremely useful have compensated more than egregiamente the lady's sterile and grumpy welcome. we went away satisfied....but very disappointed by how we were greeted.

We had a great meal, good wine and nice beer , all reasonably priced in a lovely environment and served by Michele, who was funny, welcoming and very knowledgeable about the food on the menu. The meat was incredible !! For great service and really good food I'd definitely recommend this place .... We came back on night two and if it's possible it was even better than the first night, simple food served well, flavours that will blow your mind and again Michele was on hand to make the evening memorable. This is the first restaurant I have been to in a long time that really cares about how you feel about their food
