I love perusing the books and board games, though their prices on board games always feel a little gouging, despite not being a specialty store... With staff that doesn't know the games or how they play, it's disappointing to be paying the same price as an FLGS. View all feedback.
What Keshaun Sauer doesn't like about Barnes Noble Cafe:
I went in B N to grab a Carmel Macchitto sp and I was delightfully surprised to see a bustling store with heavy Christmas vibe !!!! A pleasant thing to see for sure. I did have sticker shock to see the prices of most book, etc. I price compared a lot the items I was interested in and I found out I could find MOST of them at a much cheaper price online go figure : It 's like the song from the 1990 's video killed the... I enjoy browsing the books and board games, although the prices for the board games seem a bit steep, especially since it's not a specialty store. It's disappointing that the staff lacks knowledge about the games and how they are played, especially when I'm paying the same prices as at a dedicated game store.
I was browsing for some gifts for children when I stumbled upon Dr. Seuss's "Cat in the Hat" and other Seuss books. Wow, it really brought back some memories!
I stopped by B N to pick up a caramel macchiato, and I was pleasantly surprised by the lively atmosphere, which was filled with festive Christmas decorations! It was certainly a nice sight. However, I was taken aback by the high prices of most books and other items. After comparing prices, I found that I could get most of the things I was interested in for much cheaper online. It's reminiscent of the saying from the '90s: "Video killed the radio star." In other words, online shopping is affecting brick-and-mortar stores! Does that make sense? I hope it does! If you found this helpful, give it a thumbs up. Don't forget to check out my other reviews!
Always a great place to go. Actually seems like one of the only places to find a book now a days. So glad to have in our area
I was pleasantly directed to the location of the type of book I was seeking. I couldn't find it but the staff found it right away. Still very friendly and we had a good chuckle. She knew she was looking for a red cover! The tricks of the trade ????
