The visit was interesting because I showed up at noon and, after being seated in the middle of the dining room, they forgot about me. It was really busy. The visit was interesting because I showed up at noon and, after being seated in the middle of the dining room, they forgot about me. It was really busy. When another waitress found that out, she was completely apologetic, she promptly got me somethingto drink, and called my waitress, Jessica (if I remember correctly), to take my order. In reality, I never had time to complainand I was not in a hurry; in fact, I was glad to take a brake from a long drive. The food was good and after this they were veryattentive. As the rush hour frenzy subsided, Jessica even had a brief conversation with me about . . . the movie E.T. in itsdubbed French version. Overall, it was a bit weird, but the service and the food ended up being excellent. I would stopped thereagain if I passed through it.
We stopped here around 9pm while traveling and it was not crowded. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was very ???? cold in there as the A/C and fans were on. We dined in our jackets with hoods up. Another customer had a blanket on his legs andanother a shawl. My husband ordered the southern fried chicken dinner and I got a vegetable plate. The food was absolutelydisgusting. I ordered pinto beans, turnips and dumplings. The beans were soggy and tasted like steam smoke so I gave them back. The greens were over cooked and the dumplings recipe changed from a pasta-like dumpling to a glob of flour in flour gravy. Yuk. My husbands chicken was fried twice and so it had twice the grease and was dry and too greasy. The fries, broccoli and cornbreadwere good. At checkout, I made a comment that CB should have paid us to eat the food. The cashier suggested that she get themanager. We were prepared to pay for the entire meal, however, the manager graciously discounted the meal portion so we weregrateful. Thank you. We also bought the peanut brittle and it was soooo delicious. Overall, we will stick to breakfast at CBand daytime dining.
Tried the loaded hash brown casserole and I will definitely be ordering it again, and added a side of fried apples, Tommy was my server and was on top of it. Always good food and reasonable prices.
My regular pit stop while on the interstate. The exit where this Cracker Barrel is located is a good one as you can find everything from fuel to food. The country style menu and food is wonderful. I enjoyed the change. They also have a gift storewhere you can find lots of curious and cute looking decor items. My Verdict: Must visit!
We had a family dinner, and celebrated my nephew's birthday. The server, Gabrielle, was fantastic!! She was so attentive, and sweet! And the food was delicious, and so plentiful! We all came away full and happy! And they even brought my nephew cake andsang happy birthday! Awesome restaurant!!!
