New York Bagel Cafe Deli

Let me start on a positive, the food was great and bagels were delicious All be it a little expensive. My poor review is courtesy of the very grumpy and unfriendly Man behind the counter. He didn’t greet you with a hello and seemed very put out that you actually wanted to order food. Not sure I would return even though the food was great because the service was so bad.

Went there at about 1pm on a grey Monday in Feb for a light lunch. Was empty, like the surrounding businesses. We each had a bagel sandwich with eggs, cheese, and turkey. Was tasty and just what we were looking for. Good selection of bagels. Good Green Mountain coffee too. Quick friendly service as well.

My husband and I came here for breakfast one morning and unfortunately we were highly disappointed. The iced coffee tasted very old and watered down, unfortunately I ended up throwing mine out. While my bagel sandwich was quite tasty, my husband ordered a buffalo chicken wrap and was disappointed in the quality. And on the side, we were given bagel crisps which are a creative idea on the restaurant’s part, however they were executed extremely poorly with absolutely no flavor and they ended up being nearly too hard to bite. I believe that NY Bagels can produce a yummy bagel sandwich, however, the overall experience was far too expensive for how much of a let down it ended up being.

This place was so so yummy! Fresh, hot, filling and wonderful over the top customer service. They use top quality products and you can tell! So glad we stopped into grab breakfast! They have an extensive menu not just bagels go check them out your belly will love you for It!

NEW OWNERS. STEPHANIE DOES NOT RUN THIS SHOP!!! The new owners are clearly stealing the previous success of a hard working woman. They didn't even change the sign!!! Stephanie was wonderful, and her quality of food was great. The service used to be regulated and pleasant. Now, this is terrible. The bagels are trash. The service is horrid. Today I had to return three different things in a five item order!! The omelette was wrong, and all the toppings were in one side of it, so we didn't know it was incorrectly made until half way in. They refused to correct it or refund us. The omelette was inedible due to the BACON my Jewish husband didn't order. We ordered broccoli and cheese. My tea (iced, out of a dispensary) tasted moldy. Actually moldy. It was disgusting, and when I tried to return it for something someone could actually drink, the manager told me he himself refuses to drink the tea in his own place, knowing it's terrible. The server/workers argued with me about what we'd clearly ordered. The food was overpriced and not only incorrect, but of a poor quality. The bagels are just... Sad. Everything tastes frozen and sad.
