I have been a loyal customer of Baffo's for nearly 12 years, dating back to my middle school cafeteria days. However, I was truly appalled and disgusted by the behavior I witnessed from the owner at Consessis on Thursday afternoon. As someone who works in customer service, it is disheartening to see a business owner treat a fellow service employee with such disregard—especially in today’s climate. The owner was harshly scolding her cashier, nearly bringing her to tears. At one point, she actually said, "This is not my job; you are a service worker, and you will do this for me," referring to having her bread double-bagged. This displayed a troubling sense of entitlement, and the belittling and demeaning nature of the encounter has left a bad taste in my mouth. As a result, I can no longer support Baffo's. Shame on you.
