Did make sure order was right! Had to wit while it was remade. Then the food was unbeatable! Tasted like ketchup in everything. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
This was the absolute WORST food I've ever had the misfortune to place in my mouth! I paid $69 for food so terrible I couldn't eat it. It had to thrown in the garbage! I have no idea what was in the Sweet Sour Chicken, but it definitely was NOT chicken! The chow mein, Cashew Chicken, fried rice...all flavorless and unpalatable. My partner choked down his food, (probably felt obligated to) only to get sick and spend the rest of the evening in the bathroom. Don't waste your money here! You're better off finding old, rotten food in a dumpster for your dinner. At least you'd know what you're eating! Service: Takeaway Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 Food: 1 Service: 1
Been going there for over 20 years. They make a great country fried steak. They make a great New York steak. And the ham fried rice and orange chicken is always a favorite too. They're always glad to see you always remember you. And always remember I love to start out with fried wontons and thousand island on a salad. With a Coke. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Wow, what a lunch! My brother has been eating at the Golden Tree Café for 30 years, he says it is one of his favorite places to go for lunch. If you have lived in the Salt Lake area for many, many years and remember places like South Seas and Kowloon, thisplace reminds me of those restaurants, only better. It could use an update to the decor, but the food is the star, it is tasty, hot and plentiful. The Chicken Chow Mein was the best I?ve had in a long, long time. The Egg Foo Young really hit the spot, ithas a wonderful gravy and just really great consistency and texture. We went with a large group of eight of us for lunch, andour bill for lunch with sodas came to approximately $80 it was a really great value. I am happy we were introduced to GoldenTree Cafe, the service was quick and super friendly. Sorry no photo, I?ll be sure to take one on my next visit.
This is an old fashioned Chinese restaurant that reminds me of the places we went when I was young. The prices are reasonable. The egg foo young (with brown gravy), chow mein and egg rolls were all very good. The only thing we didn?t like was the orangechicken because it was too sweet and the chicken was chewy. Service was fast, friendly and efficient and the inside of therestaurant was clean. We will be going back.
