Great experience for mother's day. Glad to see this new business packed from Wall to Wall. Good luck to you all. Parking: Parking is a bit tight especially for large vehicles so it's better if you carpool or have a smaller vehicle
I went to the diner twice and really wanted to like the place, but unfortunately both times were a disappointment. At the first visit, my soup arrived without a spoon and it took awhile to finally get one from our server. My husband ordered the skirt steak, which was tough and arrived without a steak knife. Again it took longer than it should have to get one once he asked for it. I had the the steak tacos which were good. A couple of weeks later, I went again with a friend. This time my salad arrived without dressing or a fork??? I decided to play it safe and ordered the steak tacos again. Unfortunately, this time the steak was dry and fatty. My friend order a hamburger. She stated it was dense and bland. Finally, the diet soda for all was flat at both visits. How does that happen???
The diner looks beautiful inside but they put all their attention into looks but the most important part; food and service, is lacking. I ordered the eggs benedict and they came out room temp, overcooked and the sauce was sour. Everyone tried my dish and agreed. No one was satisfied. We also got bacon and it was soggy and fatty. It also wasn’t super busy and we waited over 10 minutes at the table to order coffee. They don’t offer coffee refills you have to ask. The eggs gave everyone a stomach ache for the rest of the day. Also for Riverhead and 2 people it shouldn’t be $45 for disappointment.
