De Jesus Deli Taqueria - Riverhead

I stopped there today for lunch, I got three Carnitas tacos and one quesadilla. I asked them if they can make the quesadilla with spicy pork instead of chicken and they were able to oblige me. This might sound like hyperbole but this place now has my favorite tacos on the east end of Long Island. I couldn’t believe how good they were and that was after a 25 minute ride home and sitting in my room for 10-15 minutes before getting to them. The flavor was incredible and the shell was perfect texture. As for the quesadilla it was even better than the tacos. Unlike most places when they say spicy pork they actually mean it. It was just hot enough to enjoy and any not insanely hot. I loved it. I also like the shell on the quesadilla because it was crispy at the edges. The staff inside the restaurant were very friendly and I am definitely going to be coming back.

This place should be 5 stars. Easily the best burritos, chalupas, enchiladas--everything. Their red spicy sauce is to die for. I simply can't get enough of their authentic, exquisite cuisine. So grateful they are local!!!

Great tacos. Shrimp one didn’t have a lot of flavor.
