What John Crowell doesn't like about Josefinas Mex. Café:
Whent to pay for 2 adults 1 senior and 1 2yr old. $94.00. They couldn't provide a receipt. This is a rip off so be careful when it comes to the bill. They will overcharge you. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 View all feedback.
I’ve been here a few times with my daughter, she’s 9. Chips and salsa are good. Menudo here is always good, but not with butter and toast as the options have, we eat it with corn tortillas and butter. I decided to try something different and get the taco salad. I started to get really grossed out with the liquid that seeped through the shell. Not sure if it’s water from the lettuce, beef fat or both, I’ve had taco salads before and I’ve yet to experience this until now, however, it was corrected. As for drinks, my daughter seems to always get an adult sized cup, not sure why, but then again I haven’t asked for a child sized drink either. Between the two of us I pay about $45. Either way, because it seems to be family owned, we will still be returning. Gotta support our local family owned businesses. Happy Thanksgiving.Parking: Parking in the front is concrete while parking on the side is dirt.
Refried beans were very good along with the rice. The burrito was just ok.
Delish food, friendly staff and bomb coffee. The owner is super friendly and checks on the tables to make sure things are good.
We have gone to this place for years . but tonight was our last. What normally cost us about 45$ 2 weeks ago cost us 69$ today. And that wasn't including our tip. We love the place but 4.99 for a side of rice and 4.99 for a side of beans . then 8.99 for a simple guacamole that was to be a large (much smaller then 2 weeks ago) and all meals have gone up 2-3$ each. And today the chips were hard as rocks . Its a shame , can't afford to go there anymore. Gonna travel to the south side to Ernesto's on 8th street. Great food budget friendly. Cheaper to pay for the gas then the increase at Josefinas
We just love it here! Best flautas! Customer service is great!
