Description

Sonny T’s pairs polished, black-and-white style with elevated Italian fare—housemade pastas, seafood (branzino, octopus, clams), standout martinis and zeppole desserts. Many praise the food, cocktails, wine-by-the-glass and theatrical live entertainment, while service is often attentive but uneven and checks can be slow. The room is ideal for date nights and celebrations, though live music and rowdier tables can make it loud. It’s an upscale, slightly pricey New Jersey spot with valet and a lively, classy atmosphere.

Good experience. Met another couple for dinner. Food was good, wine list was decent, service was decent, facility was good.

THIS WAS OUR FIRST TIME HERE AND PLEASANTLY SURPRISED. WE HAVE PASSED IT MANY TIMES . THE DECOR ALTERNATING BLACK AND WHITE IS SHARP AND PLEASING. THE WAITER, WILSON WAS VERY ATTENTIVE AND HELPFUL WITHOUT BEING OVERBEARING. THE APPETIZERS WERE VERY GOOD. THE STUFFED ARTICHOKE WAS EXCELLENT WITH THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF BREAD CRUMBS AND CHEESE. ALSO THE OCTOPUS SALAD. T EH AUSTRALIAN LAMB WAS COOKED TO JUST THE RIGHT TEMPERATURE. AND THE BRANZINO WAS ALSO GOOD. OVER ALL A FINE EXPERIENCE AND WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. THAT BEING SAID IT IS A LITTLE PRICEY BUT WHEN ONE GETS A GOOD MEAL , ATTENTIVE SERVICE AND AMBIENCE I GUESS IT IS WORTH IT.

We went on a Saturday night to celebrate a birthday. One reason we went was to hear the C Notes a husband and wife singing group, and they were great. The entire restaurant was dancing to their tunes. We were a group of 10 and service was good. We ordered appetizers, dinner, drinks and desert. The bill was a little over $500 and that was very reasonable. We will definitely go again.

My boyfriend and I were so excited to come to Sonny T's, ever since we saw the sign go up. We waited all through the pandemic and finally found the time to go, what a disappointment. First the positives: the gentleman serving water, on his game; he came around 4 times, water, bread with bruschetta and apricot, more bread, and more water which were all tasty. He even attempted to get us some service. The Valet was very nice (didn't even have to show him the ticket) as was the hostess. However that is all that we can comment on because we never saw anyone else. There were plenty of waiters around us taking pictures for other tables, bringing birthday cakes and general service but for us....... It seems like they turned their backs while walking pass our table. When we finally couldn't take it (after 25 minutes of being ignored and not even getting our drink order in) we got up and left and went to Maggiano's (5 stars) down the road where we were told there would be a 30 minute wait, we were fine with that because it was communicated up front by a very nice hostess. In actuality we were seated in 12 minutes. Drinks were served within minutes of being seated, apps and food followed soon after. Can't wait to go back to Maggiano's
